The prints on this page are either collograph or carborundum prints.
The collographs plates are built up from layers of torn paper, card and glue, put on in such a way that creates texture and form which then becomes the matrix, which is textured enough to hold the ink for printing. The constructing, destructing and reconstructing of the drawing becomes an integral part of the work.
The carborundum plates are made by painting a mixture of carborundum and glue onto the plate, which ceates the texture for holding the ink ready for printing. This method helps me bridge the gap between printmaking and painting.
